Gretsch G6129 Silver Jet (sort of)

This is not really a G6129 Silver Jet. I really want one though and because they are so very expensive I felt the unquenchable desire to make one. This is actually a low level Gretsch that has been completely hot rodded. Besides the silver glitter finish (that looks a little gold in some light because of the 462 coats of Polyurethane) I have also added Sperzel locking tuners, Gretsch Silver knobs and strap locks and a fixed G style bridge. This guitar used to have a completely different bridge set up but it resonates much better now. Pictures cannot capture the sparkle, it must be seen to be understood. I think it is actually heavier from the refinish. Plus it has a very old school Seymour Duncan Screaming Demon pick-up in the bridge position. This guitar just wails. It was made to rock... and it does. If I do say so myself.
